Here are the newest pieces I have done.  The medium a mixture of ink washes over pen strokes.  They were inspired by my recent battle with testicular cancer.

Texture was my focus upon this acrylic painting.  I used ripped up tissue paper that was later sealed with gesso to create the effect of a raised surface.  This process was followed by a black and white under-painting.

I really enjoyed the process behind this illustration.  I covered a clay board in black ink only to scratch away the highlighted areas. It was tedious but fun.

The subject matter in this particular watercolor illustration was absolutely random.  I just needed some sort of vision that would contrast to the use of crackling and aging varnish.

Two gouache paintings with the reoccurring use of zippers and mouths.  The juxtaposition of the mouths and zippers helped reinforce the reasoning behind these illustrations.  The purpose was to visually represent lying and secrets.

A series of caricatures of celebrities done with an intricate technique of color pencil, acrylic and oil paint, and enough fixative to kill a horse.

Sammy Davis Jr. illustrated in a "Pulp Fiction" get-up.

Benicio Del Toro, an actor that I respect for his versatile roles.  I felt it necessary to place him in front of a Las Vegas scene.

Sean Connery a respected historical figure that should have died from std's 30 years ago, but still holds strong. "My hat is off to you sir".
